Siamese cat
The Siamese cat has immense cultural importance for prehistoric Thailand, known as Siam. Among royals and holy people, the Siamese cat wandered around like a part of the elite. According to the legend, people gave the cat a significant role as the guardian of holy items and treasures. Although, exactly how efficient they were at guarding people’s belongings is something we miss documentation on today.
At first, only the royal family of Siam could own a Siamese cat. However, as with most cat breeds, this one eventually found its way to Europe with the help of humans.
A British consultant received as a gift two Siamese cats as a present, which later got brought to England, and shown at the great cat show in London, Crystal Palace, in 1885. Since then, the cat has become one of the most recognisable and popular breeds in the world.

Personality
The siamese cat is one of the most intelligent breeds of cat, so they require an almost overwhelming amount of attention from its owners. They have a reputation for being needy, ambitious and set with a voice that can be hard to ignore.
In other words, these cats loves to communicate with its loud and raspy voice that cuts through every wall of the house if necessary. The loudness might sound like a negative trait, but owners of them tend to describe it as one of the cat’s better personality traits. The cat really enjoys it when the communication goes both ways, which makes for a conversational relationship.
For many, the broad vocabulary of the Siamese cat can quickly become too much, which is why it is essential to be aware of this before buying one. However, if a talkative cat is what you want, then you will be rewarded with exactly that, plus an active and playful cat with a colourful personality.

The Siamese cat is a docile breed that loves to be challenged, and therefore if done right, it can learn a wide variety of mannerisms and tricks.
One of the most important things to consider before getting a Siamese cat is its social requirements. This breed quickly becomes lonely, restless and depressed if left alone for too long, so it will need people or similarly active cats in its presence for the most part.
Therefore, this breed thrives in a flourishing household of people, children and other pets, as long as someone is home for most of the time. Keep in mind that the Siamese cat demands to be treated with respect and will not hesitate to notify someone if they do not abide by its terms.
Maintenance
They are shorthaired and have a silky coat that does not require a lot of attention. Brush it once or twice a week to maintain its standard. Other than that, an occasional bath, regular dental care, cleaning of ears, plus all the other essential cat maintenance is necessary
