Devon Rex
Devon Rex is an intelligent creature with a series of different names due to its unique character. Curly hair and mischievous eyes placed far apart and pointy ears that are huge compared to its tiny head. The breed also has a tendency to climb whatever is climbable.

These characteristics have cleared the way for nicknames, such as, ‘the poodle-cat’, ‘the alien-cat’, and ‘cat in a monkey suit’. It has also been compared to mythical beings such as fairies and elves.
If the cat is home, you are seldom alone. Despite its wild and conspicuous appearance, the Devon Rex is a surprisingly loving and caring feline. It loves to be around its humans at all times.
This breed goes well along with children and other pets because of its social nature.
If you live in a household with few people and pets, you might have to consider getting another cat with the same social antennas. If this breed is left alone for too long, chances are you'll come home to a messy house as it will become restless.
However, when you are home, the cat will be around you at all times. Either witnessing what you are doing from the side-line, the top of the curtains, or from your shoulder.
Luckily, the Devon Rex has an ‘off-switch.' At night, it loves sharing bed and duvet with its favourite owners. It will sleep and snuggle with them for the duration of the night.

Maintenance
The fur is one of its more unique features. It is ultra-soft with curly hairs as a result of a natural gene mutation. Its coat consists of three layers but is easy to maintain because it is so light and soft. Usual cat maintenance is otherwise required. Such as an occasional bath, dental hygiene and cleaning its ears.
Keep in mind that you might experience shedding during seasonal changes. Comb it once or twice a week to remove dead hairs.
